Soroptimist and Interfaith Partnership
Surprise, AZ – Soroptimist International of Valley of the Sun has pledged to donate $20,000 a year for five years to Interfaith Community Care. The money is added to Interfaith’s capital campaign for the development of The Hellen and John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza. The organizations are currently in their third year of partnership.
Soroptimist Valley of the Sun received naming rights on Interfaith’s new campus for their generosity. The classroom inside Birt’s Bistro and Bookstore is named for the organization.
Leatha Martin, President of Soroptimist Valley of the Sun, said, “This exemplifies the perfect partnership between Soroptimist Valley of the Sun and Interfaith Community Care. We are pleased to be part of such community collaboration and look forward to future opportunities to work together.”
President Elect is Ginny McClain, who begins her term as President in July. The club held their first meeting in the bistro’s classroom, its namesake, on April 15.
Interfaith Community Care is a non-denominational, not-for-profit, community-supported human services agency providing care services for seniors and disabled adults since 1981. For more information on services visit www.interfaithcommunitycare.org.
